Abstract
219,318. K³nzel, K. July 18, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Razors, safety. In a safety razor a rectangular non-perforated blade is used and is guided in the holder by its blunt edge. As shown the holder comprises an arched cover plate b secured to a strap piece e fixed to the handle d, the blade a being guided between the side arms of the strap e and being pressed against the plate b by a compression plate c fixed to a screwed rod g disposed in the handle and longitudinally movable by a nut k, i; the plate c is formed with guard teeth. Two blades may be used; the compression plate may carry two screwed rods; the cover plate' may have hooked projections engaging the compression plate, in which projection set-screws are fixed; if a number of set screws are employed they may be connected by teeth or with a revoluble part of the handle or instead of screws, wedges, eccentrics or other cam or curved faces may be employed; a bayonet joint may be employed and also one or more compression springs which may be adjustable.
