657,988. Safety razor ; hair trimmers. WALKER, J. S., and FRASER & GLASS, Ltd. May 4, 1949, No. 11891. [Class 30] A combined hair trimming and shaving appliance comprises a support 1 having long teeth 2 projecting from one longitudinal edge and short teeth 3 projecting from the opposite longitudinal edge, the two sets of teeth tapering towards opposite surfaces of the support, and a double-edged razor blade 5 clamped to the support. The support 1 and a cover plate 4 are preferably secured together by a screw anchored in the cover plate engaging a nut 14 and the blade is positioned by studs on the support or on the cover plate passing through the blade and entering complementary recesses in the other part to project to a predetermined extent over both sets of teeth. The long teeth 2 are used for hair-cutting and the short teeth 2, which are provided with a protective step 6 co-incident with the cutting edge of the blade, are used for shaving.
