[Class 131] In a hair clipper of the type having a guard, for regulating the length of hair left uncut, parallel to and spaced from a toothed cutter, which consists of a reciprocating and a stationary cutting member, the guard is of channel section, located on both sides of the cutter and provided with comb teeth at both of its free edges. As shown the toothed guard 13 is detachably secured by inter-engaging grooves 15, 16 to the cutting members 1, 2. If it is desired to cut the hair at a point farther from the head a guard with outwardly cranked teeth 14 is substituted.
