Abstract

1,002,685. Hair clippers. JOHN OSTER MANUFACTURING CO. Dec. 5, 1963 [Jan. 16, 1963], No. 48107/63. Heading B4B. In a hair clipper comprising a shearing head 15 including fixed and movable blades 18, 22 mounted on a housing 11 with the movable blade being driven by an oscillating arm 17, each blade has an arcuate row of teeth 19, 23, the blades being biased into engagement by a spring 31 and guide pins 24 secured to the blade 18 being movable in arcuate slots 26 in the blade 22 to guide the blade 22 along an arcuate path corresponding to the curve of the rows of teeth 19, 23. The ends 20, 21 of the blades are angled rearwardly for clearance purposes. The ends 23a of the teeth 23 are positioned slightly rearwardly of the ends 19a of the teeth 19.
