Abstract

619,119. Safety razors. BRISKMAN, S. Nov. 22, 1946, No. 34714. Convention date, Nov. 23, 1945. [Class 30] A safety razor comprises a handle having a first part 12 with a tapered stem 15 with a central rib 15a fitting into a socket 16 having a channel 17 in a second part 13, a longitudinally curved head 18 with blade-positioning posts 21 and a threaded stud 19, a rustproof metal guard plate 23 with slots 26 for the posts 21, and a thumb nut 27 non-removably and rotatably mounted on the plate 23 to engage the stud through an aperture 28 in the plate and draw together the head and plate to bend and clamp a blade therebetween. The cutting edges of the blade are adjacent guard fingers 25, whereby underarm shaving can be safely performed. The head and handle may be plastic or metal. The parts 12 and 13 can be separated and the razor packed in a small space.
