Abstract
595,517. Sharpening razor blades. PAGE, A. E. July 5, 1943, No. 17186. [Class 60] In a holder for use in stropping safety razor blades of the kind comprising a member constituting both a handle and a blade holder split longitudinally into two halves 1, 2 which are secured together with the blade between them by clamping means, the latter consists of a nut 9 co-operating with screwed portions 8 on the reduced semicircular section ends of the parts 1, 2. The ends of the handle portion may be located in position by the engagement of a pin 10, Fig. 2, on the part 2 in a recess 11 in the part 1, or, as shown in Fig. 5, the part 1 may be formed with a reduced end 12 fitting within a ring 13 secured to the part 2. Both the end 12 and ring 13 may be slightly coned. Recesses 14 are provided to facilitate separation of the parts 1, 2.
