Abstract
397,346. Safety razors. MILLS, D. S., 293, Garfield Place, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. Nov. 21, 1932, No. 32847. [Class 30.] A single- or double-edged blade has a grooved thickened portion, the walls of the groove being at right-angles to the plane of the blade. A double-eged blade, Fig. 10, is grooved along the middle line to accommodate clips 12, Fig. 5, by which it is secured to the holder. A frame 5 is supported on a handle 27 by means of flanges 28, a ball 25, and a screw stem 26. When the blade is placed on the frame and flanges 14 on the slip members c are pressed together the clips slide along the grooves 3 until the flanges 28 are enclosed by the flanges 14. The whole is then clamped together by screwing the socket end 30 of the handle to enclose the flanges 14. The clips 12 are of such a thickness that they lie wholly within the grooves.
