Abstract
440,382. Safety razors. MACDONALD, S., 90, Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh. July 28, 1934, No. 22120. [Class 30] The clamping together of the end cap b, the guard plate a, and an interposed blade is effected by means of an eye d secured to the cap and a hook or hooks e on a sleeve threaded on a pin i at the end of the handle c. The sleeve is forked and lies astride a bridge g provided on the plate a. By turning the handle with the hook round the eye and the pin in contact with a side of the bridge the parts are clamped together. Two eyes, one on each side of the bridge may be used, or a central hook with a bridge on each side. The sides of the bridge allow of two positions of the handle ; more positions may be provided for by notching the sides.
