540,099. Safety razors. BENJAMIN, S. H. April 1, 1940. No. 5838. Convention date, May 4, 1939. [Class 30] A safety-razor assembly consists of a clamp 20, Fig. 8, guard 26 and spare-blade magazine 32 longitudinally superimposed and secured together without movement by additional means fixedly carried by the clamp or magazine. The assembly may carry a blade 30 ready for use and may be housed within the handle 25. In the form shown, the clamp 20 has end lugs 21 undercut to receive the guard and magazine with a friction fit. The clamp may carry a screwed stud 24 or internally threaded sleeve. In a modification, Fig. 15, the magazine has resilient curved members 44 which engage the teeth of the guard, or the members may be extended to engage the sides of the clamp.
