Abstract

410,273. Safety razors. BEVIS, J. E., 16, Middleton Road, Winton, Bournemouth. Jan. 27, 1933, Nos. 2693 and 3629. [Class 30.] To allow the blade-holder 1 to yield during shaving, a short helical spring is inserted in the joint between the rigid handle 2 and the bladeholder, immediately in rear of the latter. The spring 9 is soldered at its ends to a screwed socket 7 and a screwed stud 8 for connection with the usual handle 2 and the threaded clamping-screw 9 which may, as shown, be shorter than usual. The flexibility may be varied by screwing a sleeve 11 on a threaded part 12 of the stud 8, the sleeve having a close or loose fit on the springs.
