Abstract

347,432. Safety razors. KING, A. S., 34, Bathurst Mews, Paddington, and TRUSCOTT, W., 27, Cathcart Road, South Kensington, both in London. March 29, 1930, No. 10040. [Class 30.] The frame and handle of a safety razor are made from a single sheet metal blank in two halves a, b, c and d, e, f connected together as by riveting at the flattened butt-end i of the handle. The two parts are resilient and spring inwards to grip a two-edged blade having four corner notches k engaged at either side by hooks h on the parts a, d which are also formed with inturned guard teeth g. The parts b, e are of semicircular cross section and their grip may be augmented by a slidable tightening ring. The blade is inserted by springing apart the halves of the frame as shown in Fig. 1. The Provisional Specification states also that the frame may have a top guard.
