Abstract
200,367. Wasdell, E. C. July 14, 1922. Mud-guards. - In perambulator mud-guards of the kind having stout wire stays connected to a centre-piece detachably secured to the axle, the centre-piece comprises a substantially rectangular thin metal blank bent upon itself to form limbs d<2> and having recesses d<4> with which the heads of bolts e engage. A clamping-piece g the limbs of which, together with the limbs d<2> have V-shaped slots f to embrace the axle x, is held in position by nuts h on the bolts e. The stays c are riveted to the limbs d<2> and may comprise a bent wire or two wires looped around the rivets. Additional strengthening rivets may be provided in the limbs d<2>. Specification 167,977 is referred to. According to the Provisional Specification three looped stays may be provided, passing through holes or recesses in the fold of the centre-piece.
