[Class 30] The blade g is clamped between a bar b<1>, Fig. 5, or two parallel bars, and a frame A, the sides b of a lower frame B acting as guards. The bar b and sides b form the frame B which is lowered from the position shown in Fig. 5 and turned through a right angle to the position shown in Fig. 3 by turning a cap l. A blade is inserted by placing it on the bar b<1>, Fig. 3, with the studs f in the holes in the blade. The cap l is then turned in the opposite direction, the final position being that shown in Fig. 5. The skeleton formation facilitates clearing. There may be teats on the undersides of the bars a at the corners of the blades to depress the latter. In a modified construction, Fig. 9, the bar b is made substantially triangular in section and with transverse grooves s. Clamping is effected by means of a threaded pin f<2> and a milled nut and the handle may be at the side at D<2>. The clamping frames are curved as shown so as to flex a wafer-thin blade lengthwise as well as transversely.
