Abstract

545,515. Hinges. KISSLING, K. Aug. 19, 1941, No. 10570. Convention date, Sept. 6, 1940. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] In a pair of scissors the frames 1, 2, Fig. 3, of aluminium or resinous plastic material, are recessed to receive blades 4, 5, sleeves 8, 9 being rigidly attached to the blades. The pivot pin consists of a part 18 having a circular head seated in a circular recess in member 2, and a sleeve 21 which is internally screw threaded and externally flattened to engage the internal flat of a sleeve 26 extending from part 24 which has a non-circular head seated in a similar recess in frame 1. A locking screw 27 completes the pivot and a sleeve 14 is interposed between the latter and sleeves 8, 9.
