Abstract

592,553. Hinges &c. ; washers. RICHARTZ, P. May 16, 1945, No. 12352. [Classes 65 (ii) and 89 (i)] A hinge joint for scissors or the like comprises a rivet, the shank 12 of which passes through holes in the blades 10, 11 and a cupshaped spring washer 14 encircling the shank and arranged convex side outwards, between the riveted-over end 16, and the adjacent blade 10, with the rim of the washer 14 abutting the blade 10. A similar washer may be arranged between the head 13 of the rivet and the blade 11.
