Abstract

610,402. Pivotal joints. RICHARTZ, P. Feb. 24, 1947, No. 5349. Addition to 592,553. [Class 65 (ii)] In the pivotal joint of a pair of scissors or the like as described in the parent Specification, wherein a pivot 12 which connects blades 10 and 11 carries a cup-shaped spring washer 14 interposed between a blade and a riveted-over end of the pivot, the washer is arranged within a circular recess 18 formed in the said blade. The diameter of the recess is made slightly larger than the diameter of the washer when the latter is stressed.
