Abstract

749,772. Hoes. HENDERSON, W. M. June 18, 1954 [June 18, 1953], No. 16930/53. Classes 6 (1) and 6 (2). A hoe is constructed with the blade carried by an arm mounted to be oscillated through a limited angle relatively to a supporting member. The blade 7, which may be of plano-convex cross-section or have the edges chamfered, is formed integral with an arm 6 attached to a carrier 1 pivotally mounted at 2 on a handle 3 and formed with an extension in which is an aperture 4 engaging over a pin 5 of smaller diameter. An aperture 8 in another extension of the carrier is of the same diameter as the pin 5 so that the blade can be fixed relatively to the handle. A pair of blades facing in opposite directions can be attached to a wheeled carriage.
