Abstract

668,156. Agricultural implements. STEWART, G. M. Sept. 22, 1950. [Sept. 26, 1949] No. 23287/50. Class 6(i). A rotary-cultivator tool comprises a stem 10 attachable to the rotary part of the cultivator and a blade 11 having a slot 13 which embraces the stem so as to leave a heel portion 15 projecting below the blade, the blade and stem being welded together. The blade has a sharpened forward edge 12 which may either be straight or V-shaped in plan. The heel 15 may also be sharpened. Holes 14 permit the attachment of a further blade if the edge 12 becomes unusable. A pivoted chisel-like blade may be mounted on the stem 10 to assist in ground-penetration.
