Abstract
614,357. Agricultural implements. BEVAN, A. P., and TRANSPLANTERS (ROBOT), Ltd. July 11, 1946, No. 20781. [Class 6 (i)] A device for attaching a rectangular tool-bar to a tractor comprises at least one retaining member 4 having spaced jaws 9, 13 which receive the tool bar 1 therebetween, and a pivoted locking member 20 which engages another part of the tool-bar and locks the bar firmly between the jaws. In the form shown, a pair of retaining members, such as 4, are attached to the tractor by links 2, 3. The locking member 20, which is fixed on a shaft 6 rotatable by a handle 14, is sector-shaped and has a curved surface 21 which engages the rear side of the tool-bar 1. In a modification, this curved surface is serrated and is brought into engagement with the tool-bar by the combined action of the handle 14 and an eccentric mounted on the shaft 6. More than one locking member may be provided.
