644,731. Cutting tiles. WORLEY, R. C. July 26, 1948, No. 19891. Addition to 621,263. [Class 124] In a cutter for tiles according to the parent Specification, the stationary blade is tangential to or within 20 degrees of tangential to a circle described about the pivot of the rocking arm. As shown, a rocking arm 7 bent in a right-angle is pivoted at 8 and carries a blade 6 normally held by a spring 9, away from an adjustable fixed blade 2 which is tangential to a circle having the pivot 8 as centre. The blade 6 operated by a handle 12 and screw 10 moves parallel to the' blade 2 during cutting. The bearing 8 may be formed of plain bushes held by retaining pins.
