Abstract
582,873. Ring spinning '&c. frames. AMERICAN VISCOSE CORPORATION. Sept. 22, 1944, No. 18104. Convention date, Feb. 22. Drawings to Specification. [Class 120 (ii)] To facilitate "lacing-up" &c. the ring of a ring spinning or twisting frame is split and means are provided for varying the distance between the ends of the ring. The ring is preferably of resilient material, tending to spring apart to provide a gap at the split, or vice versa, the means, e.g., an eccentric, for varying the gap being pivotally mounted on the ring rail and operable by a handle against an external flange on the ring to close (or open) the gap. The gap may be of V or other shape.
