608,749. Cutters. ALLEN, F. July 24, 1946, No. 22029. [Class 61 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A cutter for cutting wire, sheet metal and other material in which two blades coact to effect a combined drawcut and shear, comprises a reciprocating blade 15 sliding in a guide 13 of a bracket 12 fixed to a handle 11, and an arcuate blade 18 provided with a slot 19 to receive a stud 20 on the blade 15, whereby the blade 18 is oscillated when the blade 15 is reciprocated. The blade 15 has a slot 16 in which slides a bolt 17 acting as a pivot for the blade 18. The stem 14 of the blade 15 is urged upwardly by a spring 27 and is fixed to a rod 21 connected to an operating handle 23.
