570,359. Electric resonators. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and SMYTH, C. N. June 21, 1940, No. 10705. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii)] In a resonator comprising a pair of Lecher wires short-circuited at one end, connected to a balanced modulator at the other end and mounted inside a cylindrical screen, resonance between the wires and the screen is prevented by connecting the short-circuited end of the wires to the screen through a resistance equal, to the characteristic impedance of the transmission line formed by the wires and the screen.
