488,912. Impedance networks ; wireless signalling. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Nov. 19, 1937, No. 31890. Convention date, Nov. 19, 1936. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] Impedance networks as shown in Figs. 1, 2, 3 and 4 are used to connect a two-wire transmission line X, Y to a source of high frequency currents Z so as to ensure equal and opposite currents in the wires X, Y. The impedances A, B are equal, while the impedance C is half that of A or B at the frequency at which balance is required. The invention is specifically applied to connecting a transmitting or receiving aerial to a transmitter or receiver over a line.
