Abstract

562,329. Valve generating circuits. SIEMENS BROS. & CO., Ltd., REED, M., and MOSS, S. H. Feb. 16, 1943, No. 2555. [Class 40 (v)] A desired harmonic frequency is derived from a source of fundamental frequency by a valve operating under class C conditions and provided with an input network offering high impedance to the current on the harmonic frequency looking back from and including the grid cathode circuit of the valve and with means to cause degenerative feed-back of a voltage at the fundamental frequency to the input circuit. The Figure shows a network N1 series resonant at the desired harmonic to which the load circuit N3 is tuned and provided with a network N2 in the cathode lead tuned to the fundamental frequency and of low impedance to the harmonic frequency. Alternatively, Fig. 2 (not shown), the input network may comprise a parallel resonance circuit tuned to the harmonic in series in the lead to the grid of the valve.
