Abstract

734,726. Saw-tooth generating circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES., [formerly TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE]. June 11, 1953 [June 11, 1952], No. 16073/53. Class 40 (6). In a saw-tooth current generator of the type in which the output valve is operated in such a manner that grid current flows, the input to the grid is obtained from a blocking oscillator of the type in which the cathode is regeneratively coupled to an electrode of the blocking oscillator valve other than the output electrode, whereby the generation of spurious oscillations in the blocking oscillator as a result of the grid current impulse is reduced. The Figure shows a conventional saw-tooth current output circuit 1, 5 supplied with a saw-tooth voltage on its grid such that-grid current flows at the end of the sweep. The saw-tooth is supplied from a blocking oscillator circuit comprising a valve 6 having its cathode circuit 8 tuned to the sawtooth repetition frequency and connected to a tap on a feed-back coil 9.
