Abstract

528,105. Valve generating circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. April 27, 1939, No. 12665. Convention date, April 28, 1938. [Class 40 (v)] The grids of two oscillator valves Tl, T2 operating in push-pull are connected to symmetrically-spaced points a, b on a resonant line Z of length equal to an odd number of halfwave lengths and with its centre grounded, and the anodes, Fig. 1, or cathodes, Fig. 3, are connected to a further pair of symmetrical points c, d, the two connections for each valve being on opposite sides of the centre. Output may be taken from loops 1, 2 coupled to the line in opposite senses. A concentric conductor may be used as the resonant line, the connections a ... d passing through holes in the grounded outer conductor to the inner conductor. In another arrangement, Fig. 5 (not shown), output is taken from a resonant circuit, which may be tuned to the fundamental frequency or a harmonic, connected between main anodes of the valves, these main anodes being coupled electronically to auxiliary electrodes acting as oscillator anodes.
