Abstract
587,319. Valve generating circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Sept. 29, 1944, No. 18682. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1943. [Class 40 (v)] A crystal-controlled valve oscillator has a tuned circuit connecting the anode to the control grid, and a piezo-electric crystal connecting the tuned circuit to the cathode. The Figure shows the crystal 12 connected between the cathode 13 of valve 1 and the centre point of a split capacity branch in circuit 5, "10, 11, which is tuned to a resonance frequency of the crystal. Alternatively, the connection to the tuned circuit may be made at the mid-point of inductor 5, and a resistor may be inserted in series with the crystal to reduce the net effective positive feed-back.
