692,245. Valve generating and frequency multiplying circuits. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Nov. 21, 1951 [Nov. 22, 1950], No. 27328/61. Class 40 (vi). In a harmonic generator in which a crystal Q is inserted in the grid-cathode circuit of a valve having a tuned circuit L<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>3</SP> in the anode lead and tapping on the inductor L<SP>1</SP> feeds the grid of the multiplier valve with a circuit L<SP>2</SP>, C' in the anode tuned to a harmonic of the frequency crystal Q, the two valves are in a common envelope and each has an additional grid between control grid and anode. An inductive impedance LID shunted by a variable capacitor C<SP>1</SP> is included in the common cathode lead. Different crystals having harmonics within the band-widths of the tuned circuits may be switched in at A, B.
