Abstract
583,630. Valve generating circuits. JELONEK, Z. Nov. 9, 1944, No. 22123. [Class 40 (v)] A pulse generator comprises a multi-electrode valve with the control grid and cathode associated in a circuit producing sustained oscillations which overcome biassing means to allow space current to flow during part of each positive half-cycle only, and with a coupling between the screen and suppressor grids to restrict the flow of anode current further and produce a short asymmetric pulse. The Figure shows a. conventional Hartley oscillator circuit connected between control grid and cathode. of valve V1 with network C1, R1 producing a mean bias beyond cut-off level. Capacitor C3 provides a transitron coupling' between the screen and suppressor grids which diverts space current from the anode to the screen during the conduction period to produce a short asymmetric pulse in the anode circuit, which may be tuned to a harmonic. Alternatively, the oscillator circuit may be crystal controlled. Specification 579,744 is referred to.
