558,146. Alloys. EVERY, C. E. (Titanium Alloy Manufacturing Co.). March 21, 1942, No. 3775. [Class 82 (i)] Iron or steel alloys contain 0.06-0.12 per cent. of carbon, 0.08-0.2 per cent. of phosphorus, 0.4-0.7 per cent. of titanium, 0.1-0.3 per cent. of silicon, 0.3-1.5 per cent. of manganese, and 0.1-1.2 per cent. of copper, the titanium content being more than 3.5 times the carbon. Up to 1 .per cent. of one or more other metals such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, zirconium, and niobium may also be present.
