Abstract
551,969. Sifting apparatus. ROBERTS, E. G. L. Jan. 23, 1942, No. 990. [Class 117] Sieves j of the kind in which the head end has a circular movement derived from a crank t and the tail end has a reciprocating movement imposed on it by link connection with its support x, the latter is mounted on a horizontal swivel b at the head end and is vertically adjustably at its tail end by means of a screw c, engaging in a swivelling block d carried by a bracket e, and swivelling on a fixed member f. The lateral inclination of the sieve frame is adjusted by turnbuckle members k, m on either side attached to the sieve frame and the support x by silent bloc fittings. The sieve is driven by a motor r which drives a shaft and balance weights in a casing s.
