Abstract

510,532. Jigging conveyers. WILLIAMSON, J. S. Feb. 2, 1938, No. 3194. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group II] A pair of screens or conveyers of equal weight is secured to the ends of resilient laminated supporting members fixed at their centres to a stationary frame located between the screens &c. and vibrated by a single rotating shaft having not more than two cranks or eccentrics. In the form shown, the screens or conveyers A1, B1 are secured to the ends of the laminated springs 4 which are secured at their centres 4c to a frame 2 carrying a motor 7 driving the shaft 6g carried in bearings on the screen frame A1. The shaft 6g has eccentric portions working in bearings 8a carried by a connecting rod consisting of leaf springs 8c secured to brackets 8d on the lower screen frame B1. Compression springs 5 may be provided to carry the dead weights of the screen frames.
