Abstract
525,645. Spray burners; liquid fuel supply. SEIL, G. E. Feb. 24, 1939, No. 6193. Convention date, Feb. 28, 1938. [Class 75 (i)] In a multiple burner arrangement for furnaces and kilns, liquid fuel is supplied to the burners from a single pump 29 driven from a constant speed motor 30 through variable gear 31. Liquid fuel passes from the pump 29 through a pipe 32 to burner nozzles 19, Figs. 3 and 8, comprising a central fuel passage 21 and an annular passage 23 to which compressed air is supplied by a pump 34 and pipe 18. The air passes from the passage 23 through an annular orifice 24 the size of which may be determined apparatus driven by a motor 37 and conduits 26, by a removable bush 25. The nozzle is arranged within the tube 13 to which air is supplied by 27. Specifications 24059/13, [Class 75 (i)], and 525,607, [Group XII], are referred to.
