Abstract

513,958. Vapour burners. LOOSE, G. W. April 23, 1938, No. 12229. [Class 75 (i)] An atomized mixture of fuel and air is sprayed on to a vapour burner for preheating purposes from a mixing chamber 6 formed in a socket 1 screwed on a nipple 17 attached preferably centrally to a tank containing fuel and compressed air, the base of the mixing chamber being formed by an adjustable threaded plate 2 provided with fuel and air passages 4, 5. A bracket 16 secured to the nipple 17 carries a flame screen 21 and a pivoted arm 19 which may be moved over the orifice 15 to shut off the supply of the atomized mixture. The end of the arm 19 is fitted with packing 22.
