Abstract

501,617. Vapour burners. FABRI, A. Oct. 19, 1937, No. 28502. [Class 75 (i)] A vaporizing-tube 14 formed with heat-conducting webs 17 is heated by the flames issuing from orifices 5 at the bottom of a burner tube 3, orifices 4 at the top of the burner tube providing the main flame. The tube 3 may extend diametrically across an annular burner head secured with the vaporizing tube to a bracket 12 by a screw 13. The jet end of the tube 14 fits in an opening in a flange 18 on the tube 3 and discharges into a mixing tube 19 connected to the burner head by a union piece 20. Fuel is supplied under slight pressure to the tube 14 from reservoir 6 fitted with a hand-operated air pump and pressure release valve. A tray arranged below the burner head is divided into two compartments, one compartment 21 forming the spirit preheating burner and the other 22 acting as a drip pan.
