503,362. Vapour burners. ALMSTROM, J., and EKSTRAND, F. March 4, 1938, No. 6814. Convention date, May 10, 1937. [Class 75 (i)] The vaporizer of an oil stove is preheated by' burning fuel in a cup 6 at a tubular wick 7 surrounding the vapour nozzle 5 through which a jet of air is discharged to impinge on or pass adjacent to the upper edge of the wick. The air is admitted to the burner fuel supply pipe 3 from the top of the fuel container 1 through a valve 10. The wick is preferably composed of concentric layers of nickel or phosphorbronze wire netting and extends above the nozzle 5. Recesses 8 in the upper edge of the wick facilitate cleaning of the nozzle.
