Abstract
490,175. Oil burners. ERLACH, O., and SPILLERN, O. Sept. 24, 1937, No. 25934. Convention date, April 9. [Class 75 (i)] Part of the liquid fuel supplied by a pipe 6 to a vaporizing chamber 1 overflows through a pipe 3 to a chamber 14 surrounding a chamber 2 which is connected by a pipe 8 8 to the chamber 1. The vapour issuing from the chamber '2 'is directed through a nozzle 15 in the chamber 14 and carries with it atomized oil particles which intensify the flame heating the vaporizing chamber and a hot-plate 17 fitting in a stove. The chambers 1, 2 are preferably filled with spirally wound screens 4 and are attached to the hot-plate 17. In a modified construction the fuel is fed to an end compartment in the chamber 1 communicating at the bottom with the vaporizing compartment and in the middle with a pipe leading through the middle of the chamber to the chamber 14. In another modification, a heavier fuel is supplied to the chamber 14 by a separate pipe which may pass through the chamber 1. Specification 486,677 is referred to.
