[Class 135] The maximum quantity of fuel injected by the feed pump of an internal-combustion engine of large cylinder volume is restricted by an hydraulic relay in conjunction with a speed governor, the governor 1 controlling through a lever 2, a core 11 sliding in a box 8 in a piston 6 subjected to the pressure in a chamber 9 connected to a fluid-pressure source and to the action of a spring 4 through a lever 3. Lever 3 is . mounted on a shaft 5 connected to means for throttling or limiting the quantity of fuel, while shaft 5 may also control the timing of the injection by connecting it to the usual hand lever or a transmission cam.
