Abstract

495,399. Regulating. HESSELMAN MOTOR CORPORATION, Ltd. May 13, 1937, No. 13521. Convention date, May 12, 1936. Drawings to Specification. [Class 7 (vi)] An airless-injection internal-combustion engine operates with timed ignition preferably by one or more sparking-plugs, and the injection takes place in the second half of the compression stroke, the engine being so designed that its compression ratio lies closely below that at which self-ignition occurs at high speeds, and being provided with a speed-responsive device which retards and advances the termination of injection as the speed decreases and increases respectively. The ignition may also be varied in a similar manner. Specifications 282,731, 312,376, 312,601, [all in Class 7 (iii)], and 495,400 are referred to.
