[Class 122 (iii)] [Also in Group XII] In a steam power plant operating on the variable pressure method in which load fluctuations are balanced out by varying the supply pressure, the throttle valve 4 of the prime mover is automatically regulated, e.g. by a governor 5, to compensate for deficiency or excess of supply pressure, and the governor &c. simultaneously alters either the firing of the steam generator 1 or the charging or discharging of an accumulator.
