Abstract

366,773. Motor power plant. AKTIEBOLAGET MILO, 17, Võstra Trõdgardsgatan, Stockholm. March 17, 1931, No. 8211. Convention date, March 31, 1930. [Class 110 (iii).] Starting means for a gas turbine plant include an accumulator 6 which contains compressed air, steam, or other gas. A turbine 1 drives an air compressor 2 which supplies compressed air to a continuous-combustion chamber 11, and conduits 5, 17 lead the heated medium to the turbines 1, 13, which latter drives a power machine 4 such as an electrical generator. Under running conditions a valve 7 is closed. Fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber 11 through a pipe 12. The accumulator may be charged from the compressor 2 through a conduit 18. Several turbines and accumulators mav be used. The quantity of fuel supplied is regulated to prevent undue rise of temperature of the heated medium. The conduit 18 may be dispensed with.
