[Class 135] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXVII] The regulating member 10 of a fuel-injection pump is connected to a governor device 1, responsive to speed, pressure &c., by a lever 6 having a fulcrum 7 carried by a guide rod 12 which is parallel to the lever 6 in a particular setting of the latter, so that for every transmission ratio a particular setting of the governor is accompanied by the same setting of the regulating member 10. The rods 10 or 2 are fitted with a device 16, 17, 18 to vary their length or the governor 1 may be adjusted relative to its support in order to vary the fuel supply for particular settings of the governor. In modifications the connections between the lever 6 and the rods 2; 10 may be in the form of racks and in addition a fluidpressure servomotor may transmit the movement of the governor to the rod 2.
