Abstract

475,693. Fluid-pressure servomotorcontrol systems. SOC. ANON. A. SAURER. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30553. Convention date, Nov. 8, 1935. [Class 135] A speed-regulating device, particularly for Diesel engines, comprises a pump 1 driven by the shaft 2 of the fuel injection pump 3 of the engine and a piston 15 which is moved against a spring 16 by the pump discharge pressure to regulate the fuel injection. A variable leakage path for the pump discharge is provided comprising a number of small orifices 11 which are controlled by a slide valve 9, the position of this valve thus controlling the pump discharge pressure to regulate the speed of the engine. Any speed variations arising other than from the adjustment of the valve 9 will result in pressure variations to effect an adjustment of the fuel control piston 15.
