485,300. Viscosimeters. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO.. Ltd., and BRAY, G.R.R. Dec. 21, 1936, No. 35072. [Class 106 (ii)] A small constant speed motor 1 preferably of the self - starting synchronous type has its rotor provided with a shaft 2 of small diameter carrying a bob, disc or other body 3 adapted to be immersed in the liquid. The casing of the motor is pivotally mounted by means of a frame 4 about an axis passing through the centre of rotation of the bob 3. The casing is controlled by a spring 5 and the frame 4 carries a dial 6 co-operating with a fixed pointer 7. One end of spring 5 is connected to the frame 4 and the other to the fixture 8. The reactionary torque indicated by pointer 7 is a measure of the viscosity.
