Abstract

484,927. Plug cocks. TOWNSON & COXSON, Ltd., and DAVIS, N. Nov. 17, 1936, No. 31407. [Class 135] A plug cock of the kind in which the plug is housed in a casing having a closed lower end is held to its seat by a spring and is provided with external " nighting arrangements. The operating handle 17 is pivoted to the plug at 19 to co-operate with diametrically opposed locking recesses formed in a flange 22 on a cap 13 screwed to the larger end of the casing. The flange 22 to one side of the locking notches is reduced in height to leave a pair of stop shoulders adapted to co-operate with a projection 171 on the handle. The handle is maintained in alignment with the plug by co-operation with the flange 22 when the handle is turned away from the locking notches.
