[Class 135] A stop valve of the screw down type adapted to engage either of opposed seats d, h, may be locked in position on seat h to prevent leakage into that part of the casing which contains the operating mechanism when the spindle or gland is to be removed, by a key y passed through a normally closed aperture in the casing and a slot in the valve stem, the key having an eccentric portion 4 to engage a plug u adjustable in the valve stem.
