807,701. Valves. PUIGRREDON, J. A. Feb. 21, 1957, No. 5912/57. Class 135. A cock which is opened and closed by moving an obturating member 8 on to and away from a seating 6 in the casing of the cock, has a resilient sealing ring 10 which engages in a groove 11 in the plug and in a recess 12 in the casing and which tends to hold the obturating member away from its seating. The cock is operated by a rotatable cap 5 which is screwthreaded on the casing and abuts the upper end of the obturating member.
