Abstract
913,976. Valves. BAHCO A.B. June 12, 1961 [June 16, 1960; Nov. 18, 1960], No. 21162/61. Class 135. A gas valve 13 is opened by handle 26 via stem screw 8, 9 to pass gas to outlet 7 via a chamber 14 within valve 13 which contains a regulating valve 20 connected via rod 22 to diaphragm 23 within handle 26 and the loading on which is adjusted by turning the handle on stem thread 27 between stops formed by members 30, 26<SP>1</SP>, threads 8, 27 being of opposite hand so that rotation of the handle first moves valve 20 due to the low friction of one sealing ring 28 and further rotation in the same direction then moves valve 13 due to the higher friction of two sealing rings 16, 19. Stem 9 may carry a scale against which the turning of the handle on thread 27 can be indicated.
