Abstract

367,180. Ball and float valves. COSTA, L. L. DA, 2601, Faragut Road, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. Feb. 20, 1931, No. 5469. [Class 135.] A tank feed float valve comprises a ball closure member 15, Fig. 4, operated by a lever cam 7, 14 having knife - edge stop portions 12, 13 co-operating with stop parts 10, 11 formed by the bottoms of oppositely - disposed recesses in the valve casing. The valve is spring loaded, and is guided by a skirt 20 depending from a plug 21, Figs. 1 and 4, screwed into the top of the casing 2. The float 4 is connected to the lever 7 by a shank 5 fitted with securing- nuts 6.
